LAGERBOX sponsors the SC Staaken women’s team
LAGERBOX has taken on the sponsorship of another football team. This time, the sponsorship was particularly urgent: The women of SC Staaken desperately needed new jerseys. LAGERBOX responded instantly and equipped the girls with a whole new set.
Everyone knows jersey sponsorships from higher leagues, where teams wear brand advertising on their shirts. They often cooperate with brands that are from the region. Those brands pay money to appear on the front of the team’s shirts. In the lower leagues, jersey sponsorship works a bit differently – the same goes for us. LAGERBOX gives out thew new jerseys for free and then the club’s teams go out to get goals with the LAGERBOX lettering on their shirts. These are images that make us at LAGERBOX proud.
SC Staaken: A Berlin-based club with a long tradition
SC Staaken (https://sc-staaken-de/) is from Berlin and a cooperation partner of Hertha BSC. Since LAGERBOX is firmly anchored in Berlin with several facilities, a local sponsorship was an almost logical step. The club has existed since 1919 and is thus a true Berlin club with a long tradition. As a company, we love to support clubs with passion and dedication.
Shared values of LAGERBOX and SC Staaken
Additionally, the club clearly aligns itself with specific values that LAGERBOX fully supports as well. The club codex specifically states: “Mutual respect and tolerance are fundamental prerequisites for successful cooperation in football.” Everybody standing on or beside the field should assume equal responsibility and stand for fair and non-violent interaction with one another, they say.
At SC Staaken, it doesn't matter where someone comes from or what faith they belong to – the club’s code clearly states that no one is excluded. Everyone should be afforded equal respect, regardless of race, gender, skin colour, origin, sexual identity, social status, or any other individual characteristics.
The charter of values of SC Staaken
The club's three guiding principles are:
One: “We take a stand against violence, racism, discrimination and unfair actions against others. We show civil courage!”
Two: “We do not tolerate provocations. We do not spark them. And where they occur, we try to defuse them or mediate.
Three: “We are committed to the fact that football plays an extremely important role in society, conveying values such as friendship, solidarity, appreciation, openness and diversity. We want to live and promote these values.”
This charter of values is not something you see every day and it immediately caught our eye at LAGERBOX. Supporting a club that is so courageous and committed to social issues is a matter close to LAGERBOX's heart.
The club also takes the promotion of women's soccer very seriously. They have women’s and girl’s teams in various age groups, including under 9s, under 11s, under 12s, under 13, under 15s, under 17s (two teams) and a women's football team. This is something that sets this club apart and that LAGERBOX aims to support.
LAGERBOX: commitment to sports and society
This is not the first sponsorship LAGERBOX is taking on. Past year, we have already entered several sponsoring partnerships in various cities where LAGERBOX is based with storage facilities. In addition to football sponsorship, LAGERBOX regularly supports social projects. In environmental issues, too, LAGERBOX is paving the way. All these measures are in addition to our sustainable business concept: We help people to opt for storing items rather than throwing them away. We also contribute to a positive CO2 balance through various internal projects. They include green roofs, bee colonies, and facilities that power themselves with solar energy.

LAGERBOX is Germany’s first self-storage provider and lets out storage units in various sizes to private and business customers. Customers can use them to store items that don’t fit in their homes or store belongings temporarily when moving house. Business customers use them for additional external storage space.
