FEDESSA - The European umbrella organization of the self-storage industry

The Federation of European Self Storage Associations (FEDESSA) is the leading umbrella organization for the self-storage industry in Europe. Since its foundation in 2004, the organization has championed the interests of providers and associations in the self-storage sector. At that time, the European market was still relatively young, but it grew rapidly - a development that continues to this day. FEDESSA was created to give this dynamic a structured direction.

Objectives and tasks of FEDESSA

As an overarching association, FEDESSA has set itself the goal of further developing and strengthening the self-storage industry in Europe. This includes, among other things:

Today, FEDESSA represents over 1,400 self-storage facilities in 14 national associations, which together represent more than 70 % of all providers in Europe. The association thus plays a key role in the further development and professionalization of the industry.
