Traditionally, the main focus is on pricing because it impacts the customers’ general price perception in the broadest possible sense. LAGERBOX was able to assert itself against numerous competitors in the self-storage category and was named “best price champion” by those surveyed.

Who is LAGERBOX?

LAGERBOX was the first company to enter the self-storage market in Germany 27 years ago. We started with one branch and now operate 31 self-storage facilities that are used by private households as well as business customers.

Our storage units are available from as little as one week and a volume of 1m³. We design our storage periods flexibly so that our customers can cancel their storage units without long notice periods.

Self-storage is particularly convenient for private individuals looking to store furniture and other household belongings because they haven’t yet found a new flat, do not own a cellar, or have a cellar that is too small or too damp.

Our business customers use our self-storage units for storing files, company equipment, merchandise, tools, machines, and products for online retailers.

In addition to our flexible lease periods, you can access our storage units 365 days a year between 6 am and 11 pm at almost all of our locations. On every site, there are elevators, transport aids and pallet trucks to make moving in or out as convenient and simple as possible. Depending on unit size, you can use our free-of-charge transport van for moving in and, in some cases, for moving out as well.

Expansion

Additional storage facilities are under construction in Erfurt, Remscheid, and Braunschweig. New locations in Essen and Arnsberg are already in the planning phase, thus continuing our expansion course. Requirements for expansion can be viewed here: Location requirements LAGERBOX

Sustainability

LAGERBOX places great emphasis on sustainable construction. For this reason, we are building new facilities based on the KfW Efficiency House 40 (or passive house) principle to help consume as little energy as possible. At the same time, we are working hard to equip as many roofs as possible with solar panels or to turn them into green roofs.

Existing facilities are also gradually being equipped with solar panels so that every integrated facility can supply itself with electricity as well as a number of other households.

By employing sustainable methods of construction, we not only strive to protect the environment but also reduce operating costs, which will also benefit our customers in the long term. By cutting operating costs, we ensure that prices remain steady in the long run and provide greater value for our customers.
