LAGERBOX is coming to Rostock soon

Now it’s official: we are coming to Rostock soon. By building our first facility in the State of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, we are taking another big step towards setting up shop all over the country.

In addition to being known as a Hanseatic city, Rostock is also home to many shipping companies, the Warnemünde Lighthouse, and a university that was founded in 1419. Rostock boasts a population of more than 200,000, making it Mecklenburg-West Pomerania’s largest city. The city is also a popular tourist destination, especially the beach resort in Warnemünde with its inimitable atmosphere.

Construction starts in 2021

Our new facility will boast a conveniently central location with a great view from the Südring, the road encompassing Rostock to the south. We are currently planning on constructing between 900 and 1,000 storage units, building everything from scratch on an undeveloped site. Based on our previous experience, it takes about 9 months from laying the foundation slab to finishing the building. The opening is planned for 2022. We are confident that we will be adding more projects in addition to Rostock until then.

LAGERBOX is expanding

As things stand, our portfolio currently contains 23 self-storage facilities. We will be adding four more this year, including sites in Berlin, Bielefeld, Dortmund, and Pforzheim. All four sites are already under construction and will be opened in this year’s 3rd and 4th quarter. We opened our fourth Berlin-based facility in Lichtenberg-Marzahn in April.

Other sites that have already entered the project planning phase include Cologne and Wuppertal. We are continuously planning, expanding, and opening new facilities.

Additionally, we are always on the look-out for existing sites that are suitable for realising our self-storage concept. Existing buildings that can be remodelled to meet our quality requirements are also interesting to us.
